Medical Donation Drive Planned Saturday On The Peninsula
The pop-up drive will help out the Medical Equipment Loan Program that provides free access to items to patients across the Peninsula.
BELMONT, CA — The Medical Equipment Loan Program (MELP) is hosting a donation drive Saturday to collect medical equipment and supplies to help patients in need on the Peninsula.
The San Carlos-based nonprofit plans to be in Belmont rain or shine to collect wheelchairs, walkers and other items, along with clean medical and personal supplies.
Saturday's pop-up drive will be in the parking lot outside the organization's Belmont location, welcoming visitors from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Some of the common items needed include wheelchairs, transport chairs, transfer benches, canes, crutches, rollators and walkers.
