Photo of the Day: Union Gives Thumbs Down to Village Properties
Protesters from a local carpenters' union handed out "Community Alert" flyers on Tuesday at the corner of Ralston Avenue and El Camino Real.
Members of Carpenters Local 22 set up a large banner and "thumbs down" sign in protest of Village Properties and general contractor Johnstone Moyer Inc. Tuesday afternoon at the intersection of Ralston Avenue and El Camino Real.
Village Properties has a local office on Emmett Avenue in Belmont.
Protesters would not comment on the protest, but handed out flyers to passersby stating that Village Properties of San Francisco failed to require its general and subcontractors to pay carpenters a standard wage.
