Blog on Belmont Shore-Naples Patch

Are you a roller derby fan and want to riff about our team? Do you make up your own incredible recipes that all your friends then get copies of and cook? Do you tutor students and have some universal tips? Do you paint? Knit? Collect comic books? And would you like to blog about that? Belmont Shore-Naples Patch has now got room for local bloggers on the site. Now's your chance.

We're looking for bloggers who can riff on various topics, share their personality and engage Patch readers in discussions.

Patch is a news site, and an online watering hole for conversation about our community.

• Are you passionate about key issues in the greater Belmont Shore corner of Long Beach? 
• Are you an expert birder, urban planner, quilter, artist, craftsman or hobbyist who can share do-it-yourself tips?
• Do you have strong opinions about local government?
• Can you just make us all laugh?
• Can you write compellingly?

If so, we want to hear from you.

This isn't a reporting job. It's blogging. You write what you want to say when you want to say it. Do it on your schedule, whether that's posting multiple entries per day or a couple times a month.

Patch won't own what you post, so you can repost your entries to your other blogs.

Much like The Huffington Post has done, Patch will provide local bloggers an online platform to have their words seen by a larger audience.

My role as editor will be to review blog entries submitted to Belmont Shore-Naples Patch to ensure there are no libelous claims, swear words. I might correct obvious typos, too.
