Casper Ware and 49er Big West Champs at Legend's
The viewing party's underway and the game-watching begins at 3 p.m. to see who wins their games today to face Long Beach State in the first round of the NCAA competition.
Long Beach State basketball team members were to be at Legend's Restaurant & Sports Bar this afternoon to celebrate their Big West Conference championship and to watch other conference finals that will determine their opponents in NCAA matches.
The 49ers handily beat the UC Santa Barbara Gauchos 77-64 Saturday night at Anaheim's Honda Center before a roaring crowd of fans. Point guard Casper Ware led the Long Beach State men's team with 33 points. The 49ers have been defeated at the Big West finals by the Gauchos, so the win was especially sweet.
