GOP Candidates Forum Tonight in Long Beach
Republicans running for the newly created 47th District, as well as state, county and local offices, will make statements and field some questions as time allows tonight.
Those wishing to meet and question Republican candidates for a number of state and local offices, including the new 47th Congressional District, will have the chance tonight at a GOP forum at the Holiday Inn Long Beach Airport.
Candidates for state assembly, senate, county supervisor and Long Beach City Council and Long Beach City College Board, will attend. Also attending will be two Congressional candidates, former Congressman Steve Kuykendall and Long Beach City Councilman Gary DeLong, The third candidate in the race, State Senator Alan Lowenthal, is the lone Democrat.
Sanford Kahn, a professional speaker, also will be attending.

The Long Beach Area Republican Party is hosting the forum at the Holiday Inn tower, at 2640 Lakewood Blvd., near the San Diego Freeway. The gathering is from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Admission is $10 and benefits the Long Beach Area Republican Party.
The new 47th Congressional District, created via the redistricting process, represents Long Beach and Western Orange County cities including Los Alamitos, Rossmoor and Garden Grove.

Kuykendall, a Long Beach resident and former state assemblyman and Southbay Congressman, is hosting a dessert reception directly following the forum in the Redondo Board Room for supporters and those wanting to ask him questions.
Next Thursday, the Lincoln Club of Long Beach, is hosting a Republican Congressional Candidates luncheon forum:
