In a world that is often full of stress, worry and concern, we sometimes forget to just stop, exhale, and take a look around us. 

Several weeks ago I finally took a moment to stop and breathe, and low and behold, I noticed the beauty of life in my own backyard.

A pair of baby hummingbirds found a home in our little slice of Cerritos. And on that same day one of these little fellows spent the afternoon learning how to fly -- a process that I quickly learned involves a lot of flying and falling. But most importantly, it was lesson of trying and never giving up ....
