The country's fourth largest gay pride celebration basked in the spectacular weather Sunday with thousands cheering on the Long Beach Lesbian & Gay Pride Parade entrants.
The festival and performances continue until 11 p.m. along Shoreline Drive. Tickets and ore event information can be found at the LBLGP event site.
No LGBT parade problems were reported beyond a few traffic snags that happen when major roads are closed for a few hours. This shot was captured by downtown Long Beach resident and photographer Dave Newell right at the start Sunday morning.
