Month-Long Scavenger Hunt Begins in Belmont Shore, Naples

A free month-long scavenger hunt that will have hunters collecting clues and solving puzzles throughout Belmont Shore and Naples began Monday and is looking for all willing participants.

The scavenger hunt, organized by the Belmont Shore and Naples Island business associations, challenges participants to discover Belmont Shore and Naples by solving clues at local businesses to receive stickers on special game cards.

According to the hunt's official Facebook page, those who collect the most stickers have the highest chance of winning the grand prize of $250 or one of more than 100 smaller prizes consisting of $10-$100 gift cards to local businesses.

Game cards, clues and stickers are available at any one of the participating scavenger hunt businesses in Belmont Shore and Naples. Completed game cards must be submitted Caught in the Moment Photography located at 5608 East 2nd Street by midnight on April 30 in order to be entered to win.

Also this year, the business associations will sponsor a "cash mob" during the scavenger hunt on April 11.

"A cash mob is a group of people who assemble at a local small business and all buy items from that business," the Belmont Shore Business Association said on its website. "The purpose of these mobs is to support both the local businesses and the overall community."

Those participating in the cash mob will be transported on The Big Red Bus to the secret mob location. All participants are required to spend $20 at the location.
