Police Search for Woman Suspected of Spousal Violence

The call came in as an assault with a deadly weapon.

Long Beach police searched today for a woman suspected of spousal violence, authorities said.

Officers were dispatched to the 5400 block of Paramount Boulevard at 12:45 a.m. in response to a call reporting a possible assault with a deadly weapon, said Long Beach police Sgt. Cynthia Arrona.

“Arriving officers determined the incident involved domestic violence,” Arrona said. “After several attempts to call the parties out, officers safely approached the residence and the victim exited,” fleeing the scene.

Long Beach firefighters treated the victim at the scene, she said. Three school-aged children inside the residence were unharmed.
