Shore Salon Owner Pleads Not Guilty to Molestation Charges

William Burch is accused of two felony counts of child molestation.

A Belmont Shore salon owner and parent pleaded not guilty to charges of child molestation in Long Beach Superior Court on Thursday.

William Edward "Billy" Burch, 43, of Long Beach pleaded not guilty to one count of oral copulation or sexual penetration of a child under the age of 10, one count of using a minor for sex acts, and one misdemeanor count of child molestation or child annoying, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles District Attorney's Office said.

According to a complaint filed by the District Attorney's office, the two felony charges stem from an alleged incident that took place in October 2012 with a girl victim under the age of 10. The misdemeanor charge allegedly involved a second girl victim in February of this year.

Burch, who owns D'Lish Salon on Argonne Avenue in Belmont Shore, remains jailed on $2 million bail awaiting his next court date on March 29 where a date will be set for a preliminary hearing.
