Stroll & Savor: Eat Your Way Through Town Tonight

You stroll, you savor, what's not to like? Plus, Patch wants to meet you. More on that.

Our own Taste-of-Belmont Shore will commence at 5:30 p.m. tonight and reprise the same time Thursday night all along Second Street, featuring the specialties of at least 35 restaurants and international cuisine.

The popular Stroll & Savor is a draw for many visitors, but it's also a very "locals" outing in Belmont Shore, and with live music performed by local musicians (Gregg Young & the Second Street Band Wednesday, Band of Others (Boo) on Thursday.  The strollling lasts until 9 p.m. and featured restaurants will have dog treats, too.

Today and tomorrow, prior to the start, you can pre-purchase tickets at Olives Gourmet, La Strada, Mail Boxes etc. and Sweet Jill's or We Olive.  Tickets will be sold in front of Chase Bank the night of the event. Tickets are $10 for a ticket book of 12. (No single tickets).

For those few who have not strolled and savored before, this is how it works: you buy tickets and take them to the eating establishment of your choice, and the folks out front will dish up their fare at what is usually a lower price than would be charged on any other night. Ticket prices vary.

Belmont Shore-Naples Patch will be outside of Chase Bank, and as the editor I look forward to meeting you all, as do some of our contributors. Most of them live right here, too, so they may mingle and chat one of the nights.
