Sunshine for New Year's Weekend

Patchy fog is expected to roll into Belmont Shore Friday night, but those same muggy conditions are set to ditch the scene in time for a sunny New Year's Eve.

According to the National Weather Service, Shore residents will see some clouds Friday afternoon and can expect a high of 69, followed by a low of 49 Friday evening.

But come Saturday, local residents can expect the sun to emerge in its entirety, and temperatures to reach a high of 76. Saturday evening, when most people will be prepping for the midnight countdown, temperatures are expected to hit a low of 49.

On New Year's Day, Shore residents can once again enjoy a high of 76, accompanied by sunny skies throughout the day.
