Trucking Company Looks to Hire Long Beach Drivers

National trucking company CRST is looking to fill openings for Class A truck drivers during a job fair hosted by the Pacific Gateway Workforce Investment Network Tuesday at the Harbor WorkSource Center in San Pedro.

The job fair will take place March 5 beginning at 10 a.m. at 1851 North Gaffey Street, Suite F in San Pedro.

According to a release from the City of Long Beach, the trucking company, which has a regional hub in Long Beach, is looking to hire drivers 21 years of age and older who can pass a physical and drug screening

Successful applicants will be hired full time and receive free training, immediate medical coverage and a retirement plan after 90 days of employment, the city said. Salaries range from $400 to $1300 per week based on experience.

Those wishing to attend the job fair need to first register in person with Pacific Gateway before attending the event. Until March 4, applicants can register at:

On the day of the event, applicants can register at 8 a.m. at the Harbor WorkSource Center.

All applicants must arrive by 10 a.m. with state-issued identification or a drivers license and social security number. Applicants should also bring a resume or seek free help from Pacific Gateway in creating one.
