AT&T Site Shows Company's Network Upgrades

The new AT&T website provides information on network enhancements near Brentwood and the surrounding Los Angeles area.

Brentwood AT&T customers can now view up-to-date network enhancements in the area through the company's new interactive online map, an AT&T representative announced last week.

The new microsite, which features a neighborhood-level view of AT&T's network improvements, is updated weekly to reflect new cell sites and Internet speed and connection upgrades, according to AT&T representative Meredith Red.

The launch of the new website comes six months after AT&T's cellular service was ranked the lowest in customer satisfaction for the second year in a row in a Consumer Reports survey of 66,000 cell service subscribers.

Near Brentwood, the map shows the company has completed 10 network upgrades since January 2011, including four capacity upgrades, one broadband speed upgrade and five network connection upgrades.

According to the site, capacity upgrades help improve service quality and reduce dropped calls while network connection upgrades help enable 4G speeds on compatible phones.
