      • Wondering about traffic? Check your commute before work.
      • Heroes Golf Course is offering a special two-for-one deal to Patch readers beginning today. To receive the discount, just mention this Patch board post. The course is at 11301 Wilshire Blvd. and is a nine-hole, par course located on the grounds of the West Los Angeles VA Hospital. The offer runs through Sept. 20.
      • The Kaufman Library today hosts Bubble Mania, an interactive, educational and entertaining program on the science of bubbles for young children at 4 p.m. The library is at 11820 San Vicente Blvd.
      • According to its Facebook Page, the Brentwood Art Center still has openings for its last two summer sessions. Visit the center's website to see if they've got classes for you.
      • Today is Vegetarian Day, according to http://www.daysoftheyear.com. Where do you find the best vegetarian food in the area?
