
Expo Rail utility work continues at Bundy Drive between Olympic Boulevard and Tennessee Avenue in West Los Angeles starting Monday.
The work lasts from June 3 to June 21 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
This work was previously scheduled to start in early May, but due to schedule changes, work will now start in June.
Work crews will conduct preliminary work activities for the relocation of additional existing utilities. Initial work will include saw-cutting, removal of asphalt, trench excavation, potholing, and utility vault installation. Heavy machinery will be used including excavators/backhoes, front-end loaders and trucks. A supplemental notice will be issued for the installation of the new utility lines, backfilling and asphalt restoration.
Traffic Impacts:
- Bundy Drive, between Olympic Boulevard and Tennessee Avenue will be intermittently reduced to one lane of traffic in each direction throughout the work activities.
- Left turns through the construction area will be restricted. Please obey all posted construction signs.
- Parking restrictions will be implemented and strictly enforced. Signage with specific restrictions will be posted in all construction areas.
- Electronic message boards, directional signage and/or flagmen will be used to safely direct vehicles and pedestrians around the construction zone.
- Local access to businesses and residences will be maintained throughout all construction activities.
- Noise levels will be monitored to ensure work performed is within the necessary compliance levels.
- Please obey all posted construction signs and do not enter the construction work zone.
