Where Are the Worst Sidewalks in Brentwood?
Be prepared to wait longer for your neglected section of pavement to get fixed in the 90049.

Fed up stumbling on the uneven and cracked pavement in your neighborhood while distracted texting? Just kidding, but not about stumbling on busted sidewalks.
Where are the most damaged sidewalks in Brentwood?
The price to fix Los Angeles' sidewalks is somewhere around $1.5 billion, according to a December 2012 story in L.A. Weekly. At that time, the story highlights how certain Los Angeles City Council members' district sidewalks were repaired while others were left to crumble. Apparently between 2008 and 2012, the city set no funds aside to fix broken sidewalks.

According to the city's Bureau of Street Services' frequently asked questions, they are not charged to repair sidewalks. Instead, per city code, is it the responsibilty of the adjacent property owner to maintain and/or repair the sidewalk.
Don't forget to download the new MyLA311 smartphone app where you can file reports for street maintenance. Also, if you're part a business improvement district, there may be budget monies in your community set aside for sidewalk repair.

One small section of sidewalk along Barrington Avenue just south of the Barrington Post Office is like walking up a small, uneven hill.
