Bing Crosby's NorCal Estate For Sale, Priced At $40 Million

HILLSBOROUGH, CA — A massive Hillsborough estate once home to legendary crooner Bing Crosby is on the market, priced at a cool $40 million.

“A rare opportunity to own a piece of history, the Bing Crosby Estate is a grand French chateau-style residence originally built in 1929,” according to the listing, which notes the home has 11 bedrooms and 15 bathrooms.

The residence is over 18,000 square feet — although only about 14,000 square feet are finished — and it sits on 5.38 acres, the listing said.

The estate has been in the Crosby family for about 60 years and is now for sale after Crosby’s second wife, actress Kathryn Grant, died last year, according to The Wall Street Journal.

With features like a Venetian glass chandelier and 17th-century wood banister, a sale could set a record on price for Hillsborough, the Journal reported.
