Burlingame Lions Club Names Citizen of the Year
Mark Lucchesi was named the Citizen of the Year.

The Burlingame Lions Club named Mark Lucchesi as its pick for the 2012 Citizen of the Year, the 82nd individual honored with this recognition.
Lucchesi was awarded the honor for years of active participation in the Burlingame community and his work towards the betterment of the City.
Although Lucchesi is a Rotarian, he generously offers his support and donations to other service groups in Burlingame, as well.

“It was a privilege to honor Mark Lucchesi as this year’s Citizen of the Year,” said Burlingame Lions Club President Glenn Mendelson. “He sets a great example of a gracious volunteer helping those is need.”
As manager of Mollie Stone’s Lucchesi has offered donations and discounted pricing on items he was unable to give away.

According to a press release, “He has gone the extra mile to make sure that what ever we have needed was there on time, and in some cases, he even sliced the ham.”
The Burlingame Lions Club began awarding the Citizen of the Year in 1930.
