Calling High School Students Interested in Sustainability

Webinar on Oct. 29 to provide tips on applying for youth award

Applications for the 2025 Youth Sustainability Award are now open! This is prestigious award is given by Sustainable San Mateo County (SSMC) to a local high school student doing impactful work to make our communities more sustainable.

Applications are due on November 11.SSMC is hosting a webinar on Tuesday, October 29, from 5 to 6 p.m. to provide tips on applying and answer all questions. Register for the webinar here. All registrants will receive a copy of the recording.

The award winner will be recognized at SSMC's 2025 Awards Celebration attended by 300 local government officials and community leaders, with certificates presented from local and state elected officials. This is a great opportunity for young sustainability champions to be honored!
