Join us at Sustainable San Mateo County's 26th annual Awards Celebration on April 3 at the College of San Mateo to honor heroes who are making our county more sustainable! It's a lot of fun and offers a chance to network with local leaders in government, nonprofits and business working on sustainability issues.

The event starts at 5:30 p.m. and includes a hosted reception, dinner, live auction and an inspiring awards recognition program. State Senator Josh Becker will emcee the evening with former Menlo Park Mayor Kirsten Keith, Vice Chair of SSMC.

Sustainability Awards will go to Caltrain, El Concilio of San Mateo County, the San Mateo County Community College District and the SSMC Youth Sustainability Award winner, Colin Chu, for their contributions to sustainability in San Mateo County. The Ruth Peterson Award will be presented to longtime SSMC volunteer John Crowell.

SSMC and the American Institute of Architects’ San Mateo County Chapter will present the Green Building Award to San Mateo County Office Building 3 in Redwood City. They will award a Green Building Honorable Mention to the Belle Haven Community Campus in Menlo Park.
