“As a school board member for twelve years, I fully support Mark Leno's objective. What I object to is mandates from the State on how to teach our children, particularly when State Legislators are constantly cutting education funding (K-16). The law should be clear: Teachers must teach that discrimination based on gender, sexuality, religion, race or whatever is wrong.
