1 Dead In Crash On I-280 In Burlingame
The investigation blocked the right lane of the freeway Thursday morning.
BURLINGAME, CA — A person was killed in a crash Thursday morning after a crash in the northbound lanes of the Junipero Serra Freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The CHP arrived at the scene near Trousdale Drive a few minutes after 6:30 a.m. on reports of a crash in the right shoulder. Officers closed the furthest right lane to investigate and clear the scene, and all lanes reopened shortly before 9:30 a.m.
The CHP told Bay City News that the driver of a gray Honda carrying several passengers swerved and overcorrected, sending the vehicle into a tree. One passenger died, and the car's other occupants were taken to the hospital for treatment.
