The Burlingame School District Board of Trustees presented Christine Thorsteinsen with the H. Jay Burns award last week.

The Burlingame Elementary School District Board of Trustees recently presented Christine Thorsteinsen with the H. Jay Burns Awards, which recognizes an outstanding volunteer in the district each year.

The award is named for H. Jay Burns, a former trustee who served on the board for 24 years.

Thorsteinsen has dedicated significant time and energy to the children and schools of the Burlingame School District. Her work includes:
