Police Blotter: Shoe Shine Blunder and Garbage Dispute

Monday, Feb. 27
1:28 p.m. An unknown individual purchased vehicle parts using a stolen credit card on the 100 block of California Drive.
3:10 p.m. An unknown subject used a BB gun to shoot a hole through a vehicle window on the 900 block of Howard Avenue.

7:49 p.m. Two male juveniles took $50 worth of food from a 400 block of Burlingame establishment and left without paying.
Tuesday, Feb. 28

6:30 a.m. A bike was stolen on the 1400 block of Floribunda Avenue.
6:11 p.m. Neighbors were disputing over garbage can placement on the 1600 block of Albemarle Way.
7:34 p.m. Luggage was stolen from a hotel on the 700 block of Airport Boulevard.
Wednesday, Feb. 29
12:56 p.m. A license plate was found on the 1200 block of Burlingame Avenue.
3:46 p.m. A fisherman reported a barrel floating in the bay near the 400 block of Airport Boulevard.
9:22 p.m. A purse was stolen form a hotel room on the 100 block of Anza Boulevard. The purse was later returned.
Thursday, March 1
10:40 a.m. A hold up alarm was set off on the 1400 block of Chapin Avenue. It had been set off in error by an employee.
4:14 p.m. A residence was broken into and ransacked on the 1700 block of Escalante Way.
6:19 p.m. A customer on the 1300 block of Broadway was unhappy with a free shoe shine and wanted to the shine removed. The shine was wiped off.
