Police Blotter: Fence Causes Dispute and an Overgrown Tree

The following information was supplied by the Burlingame Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Wednesday, July 6

10:15 a.m. Two neighbors argued over the installation of a fence between the two residences. One was upset that workers were standing on his property and damaging the roots of a tree while installing the fence on the 200 block of Victoria Road.

12:18 p.m. A van with all of its windows covered was on private property on the 1300 block of Bayshore Highway. The driver was on a lunch break and taking a nap.

1:38 p.m. A resident reported a tent was pitched on school property on the 2300 block of Trousdale Drive. Police found the tent was part of a picnic going on.

Thursday, July 7

9:17 a.m. A resident's car was keyed on the 100 block of Crescent Avenue after just being freshly painted from the last time it was keyed.

9:21 a.m. A garage and driveway were vandalized on the 2800 block of Arguello Drive, possibly by family members over a child custody issue.

2:06 p.m. A woman called to report she ran over a dog in the roadway at California Drive and Murchison Drive. 

Friday, July 8

12:15 a.m. A group was fishing on the 0 block of Bay View. They were contacted and leaving the area.

1:43 a.m. Police attempted to contact a person wanted by the San Mateo Police for domestic violence on the 200 block of Lorton Avenue. He was thought to possibly be at a bar there, but the bar was closed.

Saturday, June 9

8:46 a.m. A citizen flagged down a police to complain about an overgrown tree at El Camino Real and Rosedale Avenue.

8:04 p.m. A caller was concerned about her friend after not being able to reach her for four hours. The friend was alright and had been gardening all day on the 600 block of Howard Avenue.

10:14 p.m. Suspects were in the pool on the 1000 block of Carolan Avenue after hours. They were advised of pool hours.
