Police To Enforce Traffic Crackdown Tuesday In Burlingame
The deployment is set to take place in the cities of Burlingame and Pacifica 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.

BURLINGAME, CA — Approximately 15 officers from various San Mateo County law enforcement agencies will take part in a traffic enforcement crackdown on Tuesday called the San Mateo County Saturation Traffic Enforcement Program.
The deployment, which is set to take place in the cities of Burlingame and Pacifica 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., is part of an effort by the San Mateo County Police Chiefs and Sheriff Association to reduce the number of injuries and traffic accidents in the county. Officers will plan to enforce vehicle code violations in known trouble spots.
This is the fifth such operation in the county. The last enforcement, on June 15 in South San Francisco and San Bruno, yielded in excess of 175 stops and issued 158 citations as part of a planned traffic enforcement crackdown on Tuesday.

The most write-ups were issued for speeding, which accounted for 73 citations. There were 43 cell phone violations and 16 citations for failing to stop at a stop sign.
The San Mateo County Police Chiefs and Sheriff Association have all committed to this important safety initiative.
