San Mateo-Hayward Bridge Back Open

Both directions of the San Mateo-Hayward Bridge are back to being open Monday morning after road crews finished repairs and maintenance on the bridge over the weekend, according to Caltrans.

A Caltrans official said the westbound lanes of the bridge opened at 4:55 a.m. The eastbound lanes opened shortly before 4 a.m., according to a tweet by the California Highway Patrol.
