Week Ahead: SamTrans Meeting and Family Swim Night

Take a look ahead at what's going on in Burlingame this week.

What's on tap for this week? Keep an eye out for these events and stories this week. We'll be there to cover them.

  • The Planning Commission meets Monday at 7 p.m. in City Hall. The commissioners will review an application for Which Which? Superior Sandwiches to be located at 1400 Howard Avenue, among other items.
  • Bill Cervenka, a local beekeeper and member of the Beekeeper’s Guild of San Mateo County will lead a discussion on honeybees Monday at the Burlingame Public Library at 7 p.m.
  • The Public Library will again host Family Fun Night Tuesday at 7 p.m. Tickets are required for the Thomas John Juggling Show.
  • The Bicycle/Pedestrian Advisory Committee meets Thursday at 6 p.m. in City Hall’s conference room B.
  • The Traffic, Safety and Parking Commission meets at 7 p.m. in City Hall Thursday.
  • SamTrans is hosting a community meeting aimed at gathering input on the SamTrans service plan Thursday. The meeting is at the Burlingame Women’s Club at 6:30 p.m.
  • The Burlingame Aquatic Center is putting on Family Swim Night Friday at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $5 for adults, $4 for seniors, $3 for kids and free for those two years old and younger. Each adult ticket purchased receives a free child’s ticket.
  • It’s another Music in the Park Sunday in Burlingame. At 1:00 p.m. in Washington Park,  Houserockers will be performing rock and soul.
