Burglar Enters Calabasas Home, But Takes Nothing

The thief took a pillow case off her pillow and left the kitchen faucet running.

A burglar kicked out a small living room window and spent an afternoon inside a Calabasas home before getting scared and running off.

The break-in was reported at 1:30 p.m. Feb. 25 on Parkmor Road in Calabasas, according to Sgt. Arnold of the Lost Hills/Malibu Sheriff's Station.

The homeowner reported that a pillow case had been taken off her pillow and left empty on the floor next to the bed and the kitchen faucet was left running, Arnold said.

The homeowner did not believe anything was taken and an iPad, jewelry and a camera were not taken.

A neighbor reported that earlier in the day a woman with orange hair knocked on his door and went away when he answered the door. The woman got into a dark sedan and drove away. The neighbor believed she was "casing" homes.

Another burglary was reported on Feb. 25 on Ludgate Drive in Calabasas.

The homeowner returned hoem to find the garage door leading to the house pried open and the door frame near was bent. The home was ransacked.

The victim reported that he was not sure what had been taken.

Both investigations are ongoing.
