Calabasas' Annual Community Fire Season Briefing Set For Sept. 14
Learn about what to expect for fire season locally during an online presentation.
CALABASAS, CA — The city will hold its annual Community Fire Season Briefing on Sept. 14 at 6 p.m.
The Zoom event will include Los Angeles County Fire Department Assistant Chief Drew Smith's presentation on local live fuel moisture, expected weather patterns and what that means for fire conditions in Calabasas.
The event, held as part of the FEMA Ready Campaign’s 2023 National Preparedness Month campaign, will also focus on preparing older adults who are disproportionately impacted by disasters due to higher incidences of chronic medical conditions, mobility issues and social isolation.
