Calabasas Councilmember Appointed to League of CA Cities State Policy Committee
For the third consecutive year, Calabasas City Councilmember David J. Shapiro has received a Division Appointment to the league.

From the City of Calabasas: For the third consecutive year, Calabasas City Councilmember David J. Shapiro has received a Division Appointment to the Community Services Policy Committee for the League of California Cities. Shapiro will work with the committee to review issues related to child care, parks and recreation, libraries, cultural arts and community and human services programs.
The League of California Cities is an association of California city officials who work together to enhance their knowledge and skills, exchange information, and combine resources so that they may influence policy decisions that affect cities.
“I am honored to be appointed for the third straight year to represent our City on the State level,” said Shapiro. “It is wonderful to work with other city leaders from throughout the state to provide positive enhancements to pending and future state legislation.”

In addition to his position on the Calabasas City Council, Shapiro has also served as Mayor of Calabasas, on the City’s Library Commission, with the Joint Powers Authority for the Agoura Hills Calabasas Community Center, and as a City of Calabasas Parks and Recreation Commissioner.
