
Charlie Chaplin's cane from Modern Times and a collection of costumes from The Sound of Music were among the big ticket items at Profiles in History's July 28 and 29 Hollywood memorabilia auction, according to the LA Times.
The cane reportedly went for $420, 000, more than double of what was expected, and The Sound Music items, which included the brown dress Julie Andrews wore while singing "Do-Re-Mi," fetched $1.56 million, the Calabasas-based auction house reports, said the Times.
