CALABASAS, CA — Calabasas Councilmember James Bozajian was named the Secretary/Treasurer on the Board of Directors of the Los Angeles County Division of the League of California Cities, it was announced Friday. Bozajian was appointed at a ceremony at the League Division’s annual banquet in Bellflower on Thursday, August 1.

He was appointed earlier this year to fill the organization’s vacant Secretary/Treasurer position and will now be sworn in for a full term as 2019-2020 Secretary/Treasurer, the City of Calabasas press release said. In 2020, he will be named Vice President of the organization, and in 2021 he will assume the role of President. The position can only be held by an elected municipal official in Los Angeles County, typically a City Councilmember or Mayor, the press release said.

"I am honored to accept this appointment to help advance issues of importance to cities throughout Los Angeles County," said Bozajian.
