Crews Knock Down Brush Fire Near Calabasas
The fire broke out in the area of Mulholland Highway and Las Virgenes Road near Calabasas.
CALABASAS, CA — A brush fire burned about an eighth of an acre in the area of Mulholland Highway and Las Virgenes Road near Calabasas, but crews quickly extinguished it, the Los Angeles County Fire Department reports.
The Los Angeles County Fire Department first announced the fire just before 2 p.m. Thursday. There was one water tender and a CAL FIRE crew on scene, the fire department tweeted.
Just minutes later, LA County Fire tweeted the flames were extinguished and assisting resources were cancelled.
