Earthquake Rattles Los Angeles Area. Did You Feel It?
An earthquake epicentered near Calabasas struck Monday morning, and it was felt across a wide swath of Los Angeles.
CALABASAS, CA — Monday morning commuters were rattled by a rush hour magnitude 3.4 earthquake near Calabasas, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.
The quake struck at 8:05 a.m., and it was epicentered 7.7 miles south of Calabasas and east of Malibu, and southeast of Agoura.
It was about 3.7 miles deep, according to the USGS.

Residents from Long Beach to Newbury Park reported shaking, but the brunt of the impact was felt in the San Fernando Valley and the Westside of Los Angeles.
There were no immediate reports of injuries or damage in the region.
