Fabulous Fridays: Coyote Kick-Off, Craft Workshop

Here are 5 things you need to know today. If you have an event you'd like us to consider for Five Things, be sure to add it to the events calendar

1. Today will be mostly sunny with a high near 94, according to the National Weather Service.

2. Come out and support your Calabasas Coyote H.S. Football team as they kick off the 2013 season Friday night. Game time is 7 p.m.

3. Take part in the Western National Parks Association Craft Workshop from 9-11 a.m. Saturday at the Santa Monica Mountains Interagency Visitor Center. Play and make games at this fun workshop. Peter Rice is a local artist, naturalist, and instructor. Join him in crafting Walnut in a Cup, Ring in a Pin, Stick Dice, and more from natural materials. Recommended age 8+ and ideal for families, teachers, docents, and nature enthusiasts. Material fee is $10 and reservations are required: 805-370-2301

4. Disco down with Boogie Knights on Friday and see the Marshall Tucker Band on Saturday at the Canyon Club in Agoura Hills. Click here for showtimes and ticket prices.

5. Calabasas City Hall will be closed Monday in observance of Labor Day.
