Only registered Democrats are eligible for endorsement consideration.

"It is very rare for the Democratic Party not to endorse incumbents, but after hearing about and interviewing all the Democratic candidates, the Party's delegates decided that Jody Thomas was the only candidate for Calabasas whom they trusted to uphold their values," said Brian Ross Adams, Thomas' campaign manager.
Adams said the City Council is a non-partisan office and Jody's message of bringing good governance and transparency to the Council appeals to Republicans and Democrats alike.
