State Superintendent of Public Education Tours Local Schools
Tom Torlakson took a special interest in local STEM and arts programs.

State Superintendent of Public Instruction Tom Torlakson visited three schools in the Las Virgenes Unified School District Thursday, meeting with students, teachers, school administrators, and community partners showcasing local STEM and arts programs.
The first stop was Sumac Dual Immersion and L-Stem Elementary school and Mariposa School of Global Education in Agoura Hills.
Torlakson then visited STEM-centered Project Lead the Way and the music program at Lindero Canyon Middle School in Agoura Hills.

Finally, he made his way to Calabasas High School, to see the Film and Media Academy, STEAM, and other academic classes, concluding with a tour of the new Performing Arts and Education Center.
