Thief Ransacks Calabasas Home, Leaves Knife Behind

A wrist watch worth $1,100 and a pearl necklace worth $1,000 were taken from the Calabasas home.

A burglar ransacked a Calabasas home last week, taking a wrist watch worth $1,100 and a pearl necklace worth $1,000.

The burglary was reported at 12:30 p.m. Feb. 28 on Via Corona in Calabasas, according to the Lost Hills/Malibu Sheriff's Station.

The thief pried open a bathroom window and ransacked the house, taking the jewelry and an iPad.

Investigators also discovered a knife on the top of the bedroom dresser, which was booked into evidence and dusted for finger prints.

The investigation is ongoing.
