In order to earn recognition by GFOA, the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) is judged by an impartial panel to affirm it meets the standards of the program, including a constructive “spirit of full disclosure” intended to clearly communicate the agency’s financial story and to motivate interested parties to read the report, which is available online at www.LVMWD.com.
“We appreciate the recognition of our efforts by GFOA,” said LVMWD general manager David W. Pedersen. “We have a strong commitment to transparency in our operations and the CAFR is another method we use to inform the public that we are using their resources in a responsible manner.”
