Aptos Food Burglar Caught In The Act
An alarm trigger Wednesday night brings deputies to Deluxe Foods in Aptos. A 31-year-old man was quickly discovered nearby with stolen items
APTOS - Deputies from the Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office Wednesday night arrested a man attempting to steal food from an Aptos retailer’s locked storage area.
Sheriff’s officers were dispatched Wednesday evening to reports of a burglar alarm that had tripped at Deluxe Foods in Aptos.
According to the Sheriff’s Facebook page, deputies were told by the alarm company that a man could be seen on surveillance video making entry into a locked storage area.

When officers arrived, they found 31-year-old Cesar Espinoza walking away with stolen items from the storage area.
Espinoza was arrested and taken to the county jail on charges of burglary.
