CA Sushi Restaurant Destroyed In Fire
The eatery was destroyed when a dental office on the floor above collapsed into the restaurant, a report said, adding several koi fish died.
CAPITOLA, CA — A sushi restaurant in Capitola was destroyed in a fire earlier this week, according to authorities.
Emergency personnel responded early Monday morning to the 800 block of Bay Avenue for the fire, according to Capitola police, who said two businesses were total losses as a result of the blaze.
No one was hurt and the cause of the fire was undetermined as of Tuesday, police said.

Sushi Garden posted a message on its website stating that it was “heartbroken” by the fire and that its Capitola location would be closed until further notice.
“In the meantime, we appreciate your support at our Aptos and Watsonville locations,” the message stated. “Your continued love means everything to us, and we’ll keep you updated as we rebuild and get ready to welcome you back to Capitola soon.”
