Man Pushing Alleged Stolen Motorcycle In Aptos Is Taken Into Custody

Santa Cruz County deputies on Sunday took into custody a man in Aptos suspected of possessing a motorcycle stolen in Watsonville.

APTOS - Santa Cruz County deputies on Sunday took into custody a man in Aptos suspected of possessing a motorcycle stolen in Watsonville.

The sheriff's office says while on routine patrol, a deputy observed 32-year old Pablo Deleon pushing a motorcycle in the 400 block of Sumner Ave in Aptos.

When the deputy attempted to contact the man, deputies say Deleon abandoned the bike and fled to railroad tracks nearby.

According to the sheriff's office, deputies caught up to Deleon and took him into custody.

The Santa Cruz Sheriff's Department says it returned the motorcycle to its rightful owner.
