Officers Crack down on Soquel Drive Motorists
There has been extra enforcement on Soquel Drive this month.

Officers from several different law enforcement agencies cracked down on Soquel Drive this month, writing out 158 citations for various violations.
The effort was part of the BADGES (Before Aggressive Driving Gets Everyone Stopped) program, which is hosted by a different agency each month. May has belonged to CHP, with the help of officers from the Capitola Police Department, Scotts Valley Police Department and Santa Cruz Police Department.
According to CHP Officer Bradley Sadek, Soquel Drive from Aptos to Soquel was given extra attention and tickets including speeding, right-of-way, red light, distracted driving, blocking a "Keep Clear" area, and not wearing seatbelt were given out.
