Capitola police have arrested a man suspected of several area home burglaries in April and May.

CAPITOLA - Capitola police have arrested a man suspected of several area home burglaries in April and May.
Police say James Edward Moore Jr., a 40-year-old Capitola resident, was arrested Monday, May 9 for several burglaries he allegedly committed in late April and early May.
Capitola police believe Moore is connected to one burglary and two attempted burglaries reported in the Depot Hill neighborhood the night of April 25.

Police also believe Moore was involved in a second burglary Saturday night, May 7.
In both burglaries, Capitola police say electronic gear was stolen.

Police detectives say they arrested Moore on Monday in the 400 block of Escalona Drive shortly before 6 p.m., and recovered the stolen merchandise.
According to authorites, James Edward Moore Jr was booked into the Santa Cruz County Jail on two counts of burglary, one count of attempted burglary, and possession of stolen property.
His bail was set at $200,000.
