Friday, Feb. 4
Midnight—A man was stopped for having no rear license plate on the 1200 block of 17th Avenue. He was on probation and carrying smoking paraphernalia and 0.3 grams of heroin, under the influence of drugs and driving on a suspended license. He was booked into Santa Cruz County Jail.

2:30 p.m.—A man was found too intoxicated to care for himself on the 3800 block of Portola Drive. He was arrested and taken to Santa Cruz County Jail.

Midnight—A man was punched in the face on the 8017 block of Soquel Avenue.
Midnight—A man was stopped on the 3500 block of Clares Street and arrested for being under the influence. Officers also found 0.2 grams of methamphetamine at the man's home.
2:31 a.m.—A man was turned over to California Highway Patrol for suspicion of driving under the influence at Highway 1 and Buena Vista Road.
Sunday, Feb. 6
10 a.m.—A man reported damage to the windshield of his car, parked at the corner of Mar Vista Drive and Soquel Drive. It was estimated to cost more than $400 to fix.
11:24 a.m.—A vehicle was stopped for having expired registration on the corner of Capitola Road and 38th Avenue. The driver gave two fake names before admitting his real identity. He was cited and the vehicle towed.
