Can You Volunteer for the 'Artesia in Action' Cleanup Saturday?

The community project will take place from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 20.

Want to give back to the community in a special way? If so, roll up your sleeves and take part in the "Artesia in Action" cleanup event this Saturday. 

Volunteers are being sought to help clean up the area around New Life Community Church, located at 18800 Norwalk Blvd. in Artesia, on Saturday, April 20 from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. 

"We will trimming vines and pulling weeds on the sidewalk across from the church," said Artesia in Action member Brad Beach.

In the past, the group has hosted projects aimed at cleaning out A.J. Padelford Park, and a warehouse once filled with junk.

Artesia in Action focuses on developing community pride through volunteer service projects that help rebuild and clean up city neighborhoods.
