Buena Park Man Accused of Killing Toddler
The suspect is believed to be responsible for the death of his girlfriend's 18-month-old son, who died on Saturday afternoon.

A 21-year-old Buena Park man was behind bars today on suspicion of killing his girlfriend's 18-month-old son.
Cheyenne Mateo Fuimaono was being held in the Buena Park jail without bail, according to Buena Park police Cpl. Andy Luong.
Police were called to a home in the 6800 block of San Benito Way about 1:25 p.m. Friday to check on the toddler who was not breathing, Luong said.

Fuimaono was attempting to revive the child when police arrived, Luong said.
The victim, whom police would not identify, was rushed to Children's Hospital of Orange County, where he was revived, he added.

Orange County Social Services workers at CHOC called police to report "suspicious bruises" on the child, Luong said, adding that the boy took a turn for the worse and was declared brain dead.
The child was declared dead just before 5 p.m. Saturday, he said.
Fuimaono, who was booked on suspicion of murder, allegedly told police he hurt the boy, according to police.
