Man Hurt in Buena Park Collision

The collision knocked out a traffic signal at an intersection, trapping a driver inside his vehicle.

BUENA PARK, CA - One man was injured when two vehicles collided at an intersection in Buena Park on Wednesday night, knocking down a bus bench, signal control box and traffic light pole.

The collision occurred at the intersection of Beach and Artesia boulevards about 10:35 p.m., said Buena Park police Officer B. Hartley.

One driver was trapped in his vehicle and had to be rescued by Orange County Fire Authority paramedics, Hartley said. He was taken to UCI Medical Center in Orange.

A male driver and a woman who was a passenger were in the other vehicle, but were not injured, Hartley said.

The collision knocked out the traffic signal at the intersection, Hartley said.

The collision remained under investigation, Hartley said.
